Coaxial cable carries signals of higher frequency
ranges than twisted pair cable. The coaxial cable has a central core conductor
of solid usually copper enclosed in an insulating sheath, which is encased in
an outer metallic conductor. The outer metallic wrapping not only serve as a shield
against noise but it also act as a second conductor, which completes the circuit.
